Even using LHA on the Amiga can cause problems (because it fails to preserve protection flags by default). Unpacking on Windows & copying it over to the Amiga definitely won't work, sorry.

Please try redownload the archive, as already suggested. No-one else has problems unpacking the archive, so I would tend to believe UnArc when it says the archive is corrupt. And try downloading it a different way (e.g. if you downloaded it with OWB on the Amiga, then try a different web browser, or even download it on Windows).

The old (non-MUI) OWB has been known to corrupt archives downloaded from Hyperion's web site.

btw, i tried to re-download it with a pc, everything was fine, i burned it into a dvd-rw and copied on the Amiga1200. Then i unpacked it with unarc and it was fine

Still i have a problem, the same problem as before, if i try to install over my system partition that already has Update4 installed, the installation window of Update4 fades away and the installation quits.. could someone check this? Re-installing the Update4 over the Update4?

Simplest way would be to fire up dopus or open the cli and copy the files by hand

As your on an A1200 just copy the files from the Directories Files_BlizzardPPC and Files_NoArch

Eg:

CD Files_BlizzardPPC
COPY clone all #? sys:
CD /
CD Files_NoArch
COPY clone all #? sys:

Then you can Run the RunInUAE installer manually

ok i can still copy the files by hand, but why if i try to reinstall the update over the update, the installation window automatically close?.. is there a way to investigate this?

Installing Update 4 over Update 4 is not supported. The instructions state that you must have Update 3 installed as a prerequisite. No other scenario is supported so you are on your own.

Yes indeed, i have amiga os 4.1 Update2 for Classic plus Update3 and Update4 but as i had problems with the update 4 (read the topic). When i try to reinstall Update 4 with the installer, the installation window closes itself and i'd like to know why and if there is a way to investigate this..

Without reading the script is probably doing a version.library check and seeing that the update 4 version.library is already there.
Try replacing the version.library from update 2 or 3 and try again.

As SSolie said, at the moment it's not possible to reinstall update4 over itself, so it is impossible to me, find a solution to this problem (RUAE). So i wll simply install RUAE as a stand alone program and not using update4.. that's all for the moment..
