This movie is from Zack Snyder.

I use same DVPlayer, libdvdcss, avcodec to read them on both computer.
You seem to be overlooking the different DVD drives on your X1000 & Pegasos. Specifically, I wonder whether your Peg's DVD drive has had it's region set (which is typically required by commercial DVDs), but your X1000's hasn't. You can check what your Peg's is set to, and set it on your X1000 if necessary using the following tool:
http://os4depot.net/index.php?function= ... ionset.lha
My drive's region is set to "none," yet my DVDs still play. These DVDs are encrypted, and should be region 1 (I bought them in Canada). These are several years old though, but region locking was normal back then too.

What I'd like to know is what VLC does on Linux to play the DVD without setting the drive's region. Geographic region locking is explicitly excluded from New Zealand copyright law (Copyright Act 1994, section 226(b)), so there is no issue with circumventing it (at least, where I live).

EDIT: After looking around a bit, I think that updating DvPlayer's DVD CSS plugin with the latest libdvdcss would solve the problem. I don't know what version is in the current plugin, but the latest one handles newer RPC2 drives.
