InterWeb Web Browser with Goanna 4.4 Engine Released

I did it again. Heh. New web browser for ppc32. Based on the latest Basilisk codebase.
Rebranded and given the name "InterWeb". Makes sense right?
Already packaged as a .deb for easy install on ubuntu/debian/mintppc/fienix.

For those still using ubuntu12/14 or debian8, InterWeb has been rebuilt on my powerbook g4 and is ready for consumption. Requires libatomic from gcc-4.9 for ubuntu12, but it gives you roughly FF60.9-68.9 web compatibility.

YouTube videos in HD with ViewTube and InterWeb

Installation instructions for ubuntu MATE 16.04.6 PowerPC

1. Install VLC and the VLC browser plugin with the following command:

   Code: Select all

   sudo apt-get install browser-plugin-vlc

2. Start InterWeb and install the add-on Greasemonkey version 3.31.4
3. Restart InterWeb
4. After that, add the ViewTube script to Greasemonkey
5. Then you have to activate the VLC plugin (YouTube video window: Activate VLC Web)

InterWeb has been updated.

Over the last few months powerpc fixes were added to upstream UXP. You can build any UXP application on ppc now, except you still need to swap the icu.dat file around. So changelog will always be the about same as upstream. https://www.palemoon.org/releasenotes.shtml

I installed it today and it shows 2020.06.07 in About.
