Can you describe your configuration , Video card ? how Much Memory ? Did you get the memory from Acube
What Controller are you using for your Harddrive and CD or Dvd Drive ? Onboard ?
What type of Hardrive ? 3 .5'' or 2.5'' or is it an SSD .
What Size partition are you using for Linux ...

Thanks for your work Spectre. 8-) Cannot get your Debian to run on my Sam460 though, as it freezes during creation of the ext3 filesystem. See attachment.
I tried with Marios guides one year ago (http://www.locati.it/mario/sam460/squeeze/#what_to_do_before) and had the same thing happen, so it's not ...

Changed memory module (another brand) and now it runs fine with kernel. Learnt alot while problemsearching so it wasn't spoilede time. Dunno why my sam460 didn't like the corsair one (kingston now).
Another thing is i can boot the Ubuntu live cd now, couldn't do that without errors before ...

Update 6 solved the problem, can now use all prev. updates too. Thanks Amiga OS 4.1 team for the update!! (whatever it fixed=)

Tried exprimenting with different buffers, using SFSQuery to look for good cache values. Tried DH1: with JXFS. Nope. (block,masks, buffers checked)
Then tried another harddrive. 2 partitions, 10 gb SFS, 40 gb jxfs.Nope. (block,masks, buffers checked)

Sure, i can live with update 4,5, but i really would like to know what the problem is, now that i tried so many different things.
Do you know whats 'safe' to comment/disable from kickstart.layout?
