Hallo !

I got a bit further with the problem - but still no luck.

This is what I could figure out so far - but now I am lost..

I commented LoadMonDrvs out in startup-sequence.
Then the system starts with boot sound an everything else.
I looked into the screenmodes and there are only the lower vga ...

The uboot trick didn't work - couldn't find the radeon option.

But the way yoodoo2 described semmed to work. I could install and the system is booting
AmigaOS 4.1 FE. Even I had a lot of unassigned error messages during installation.

But now I have the same behaviour I had ...

Dear Amiga Lovers!

I have a problem booting the AmigaOS 4.1 FE CD.
I have a SAM440ep with a ATI 9200 PCI GFX Card.
My on-board gfx is broken.
Everything ran fine with Update 6.
But if I try to boot the FE CD the system freezes
after loading a few seconds and showing the new Boot logo.

Can't get it ...

I did all steps you mentioned (enabling DCC and renamimg the momitor file and board name) and VOILA...

IT WORKS !!!!

Hello Amiga Fans!

I hope you can help me with an issue related to changing the gfx card .
I have a sam440ep and an ati 9250 pci gfx card installed.
Now I got an ati 9200 pci gfxcard. I installed it and now there are only
Low gfx modes available.

How can I tell the system to use it withthe correct ...

Okay - I have 2 Radeon cards - a 9200 and the 9250.
I baught both as new cards.
Hmmm....But even under update2 - where both card work at 1920x1080@32 I could never get minigl to work.
Strange thing.... I mean it'S a bit unlikely that both are faulty BUT ...

These test all fail only 8 bit modes are okay with gfxbench2d.

But why did the card work correctly under update2 ???
There I coul use any mode?

I have uboot 1.31d and everything else set up!

Now I can use a resolution up to 1280x1024 with 256 colors pretty stable. :-)
With RGB colors it's not stable - sometmimes freezes sometimes not.
ARGB32 is not possible at any resolution.

BUT it's a big step forward !!!

Thanx a lot so far for all your hints and time.

I installed update3 again and unchecked the last box to reboot and restartet the Amiga by switching off and on again.
Unfortunately the same problem ... :-(

But I managed to find at least the command in startup-sequence that causes the lock ...
