well, I live in Poland and not have much money for sending mouse to Hyperion for testing. I suggest buing esperanza mouse EM-102 for test - it low end device and cheap. Google image give picture this mouse on string "ESPERANZA EM102K" - but I not have "K" letter - but mouse looking similar

Wrong mouse always will be wrong (in update3!). After power down mouse sometimes initializing fast, sometimes very long time, sometimes it initializes even with active scroll!!! - just it totally random. Buying better, compatibile mouse is much better solutions - some mouses always work like dell ...

For sam460 are not good solutions - only two: disabling USB2 (marking ehci) or buying new keyboard and mouse. For mouse I really recommended my Dell 6 button laser usb mouse - no high price. I also changed keyboard - now I have Dell multimedia keyboard with characteristic silver plate with scroll ...

I had a similar problem in the past, on the Pegasos I think. What I did (and still do everywhere) is comment out the bootmouse and bootkeyboard from the kicklayout and add HID.usbfd instead. Works for me.

Well. I'm tired fighting with my mouse. I found temporary solution But use it for your risk - I'm not developer - just user.
Open your system disk, show all files, navigate to kickstart drawer, found file "kicklayount". This is txt file. Open it in txt editor. Find line:
MODULE Kickstart/ehci.usbhcd ...

Sorry - I lost my scroll mouse button after restarting system. I found that now working other port... Hmmm Tips: search for working port - it must exist!!! If you found one - never turn off your sam460ex!!!

Wow! Thanks Chris for tips. Sam460ex has two USB and 2 internal USB. One of internal port is OK - mouse plugged into this port start work with mouse scroll button!
