HDMI 1.4 only supports 30Hz, for 60 Hz you need HDMI 2.0+, HDMI 2.1 for 8k at 60Hz, on the amiga this probably means one of the latest cards rx580 has hdmi 2.0, r9 290x has hdmi 1.4a, generally you need DP 1.2 to get UHD with 60Hz.

It would be neat to see how novabridge handles heretic ii, it seems to be the best hope for running heretic ii on OS 4.1Fe

do a google search for "10-port sil-3114" it will give hits for pci-e cards, if you search for sil-3114 or sil-3112 you will get pci cards, the 10-ports costs roughly 1200 sek.

I wonder about configure, which run-time library does it use? for instance in one program it goes through the configuration but when you do a make, the compiler (gcc 11.2) starts complaining about several functions already being defined in newlib? isn't newlib default for --mcrt

from Conrad, AFAIK its a german net retailer, and it's their 'housebrand' which made/make the 10 porter (I have seen it under some other brands, at least it looks identical). it seem's to use 2 sil3114 chips (no guarantee).

I think it is the system that uses some of that 256 Mb Memory, most likely workbench/intuition, you might verify it if you open a large photograph and then runs that simple program it should be less than 241Mb?!

Double check that it really Installs it, or do a manual install, i had a similar error with RadeonRX,
Also check the protection flags so that it is rwed. but the manual install should fix.
