We need a help-tests of Q3 on X5000 Linux with working accelerated 3D on it. That should be Q3 Arena.
We need what frame-rate you get in the first level (Q3DMO) right at the start (where you're facing the mirror).

We need a performance comparison between what's achievable on the hardware vs the current performance on AmigaOS 4. Q3 is one of the few
games we have on both Linux and AmigaOS.

Yes we do not have RadeonHD drivers on Linux, but results with older graphics cards are welcome. Just let us know what you're using.

I think you should first give the exact instructions how to install q3 on PPC Linux distros!

I tested it on my X5000/40 with an AMD Radeon HD6970 today and got 90fps in front of the mirror.



I get also 90fps in the fullscreen with a resolution of 1600x1200 with all enabled graphical features.

X1000 with an AMD Radeon HD6970: 70fps

Another question, a bit of a different topic: is the latest RadeonHD and Polaris cards still of no support in PPC Linux for 2D/3D?

Yes, that’s correct.

Just for info: Radeon HD7xxx/R7 graphics cards are also supported but they have only 2D support.

At least no RadeonHd Verde (r7-250) for sure

Another issue I find with the x1950 card I use for flenix on my x5000/020 is that all 3d have broken textures see :

Dunno is this issue known? Or maybe already fixed in a later version of Mesa if there were any since Mesa: 20.0.4?


PS. Will Radeon HD6970 (Cayman XT) works on Flenix too?

For you, x1950 was good on Flenx ? Tred 2 cards with the same result.
