Hi All,

The Linux 5.2 merge window is now open so I released the first alpha today.

New:

• The Huge Linux 5.2 Kernel Merge Window Kicks Off
• Linux Git log
• Phoronix articles, reviews and news stories covering Linux 5.2

It also includes:

• X1000: pata_of_platform-v2 patch for solving the issues with new CF cards connected to the onboard CompactFlash Card Slot
• X1000: Disabling the kernel config options CONFIG_PATA_PCMCIA, CONFIG_PCMCIA, and CONFIG_ELECTRA_CF for the pata_of_platform-v2 patch
• X1000: compressed kernel (zImage) and uncompressed kernel (vmlinux)

Issue:

• X5000: The initialization and use of a secondary graphics card (FirePro 2260) does not work. Bug report: Bug 109345 - drm-next-2018-12-14 -Linux PPC. We are working on a solution: http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.com/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=4256&start=50#p47877

Success, 5.2 boots to Firepro, thank you for all your hard work. One small issue, I can no longer use my Logitech wireless usb mouse, did anything change in that regard. Corded usb mouse work fine. Once again great work, much appreciated.

Great, that your two graphics cards work with the alpha2!

Have you installed the kernel modules because of your USB wireless mouse yet?

Yes I installed modules here: /lib/modules/5.2-a2_A-EON_X5000-08122-ga2d635d-dirty.

Hi Ace,

OK. Please post the output of xinput list with your connected wireless USB mouse with the final kernel 5.1 and with the alpha2 of kernel 5.2.
