Beeping at boot up

Hello, I am getting a 2 second beeping noise when I cold and warm boot. The noise comes just before the Amiga 4.1 final edition logo.
I had a graphics problem which I solved by changing the HDMI lead, I was getting a pink tint to everything that was supposed to be white.
Any ideas?

It's probably the original Amiga 1000 turn-on noise (a short burst of notes).

Yes, you can disable it in SYS:Prefs/Sound.

Yes.
Sys:kickstart/kicklayout is a text file of modules to be loaded at kick time.
There you may find Module Kickstart/bootsound.kmod, which plays a tune similar to the bootsound of the original Amiga 1000 on the HDAudio chip of the X1000.
You can disable it by putting a semicolon ; at the front of that line.
Warning: edits to kicklayout can cause booting trouble. In particular, don't add blank lines, they ARE significant to the bootlayout process.
Have Fun,

Thank you all. Why have I never heard it before after 3 years?

It only plays through the HDAudio chip.
It's done by manipulating registers in the chip.
If you have been using some other sound card then you'd never know.

On a good day, I try to be helpful.
On a bad day I just don't reply.
Glad I could help solve the puzzle.
