Well,
If we gonna go productivity at least some support to modern LaserJets is needed, scanners too.
For file sharing NTFS support would be great, as well as previously mentioned EXT support.
Hope these will come as priorities after OS 4.2 is out.
A lot of work to do, but please express opinion if you find these as productivity priorities, too.

FWIW, my modern HP LaserJet (CP4520dn) is supported just fine through the WB Postscript driver and lpr.device (RAW).

You give us a specification for NTFS and we'll write a filesystem to handle it.

@zeroG:
Unfortunately, that is not Microsoft's specification.
It is what someone thinks, based on their reverse-engineered analysis of the Microsoft product. Microsoft can (and do) change their internal specifications regularly and don't feel the need to publicise their changes.

So what.. Whole world use those implementations in all the oses without worry. If something radical will be changed which will need a fix, then referring to the same revers-engineering pages will give you all the info which can be applied to our implementation as well. I mean its no stop factor imho.

I might be wrong, but I think the only OS that support NTFS are Windows and Linux. Microsoft obviously have the specification for Windows, and Linux is the haven of open source and reverse engineering. Everybody else still uses FAT, so unless you're actually sharing a USB hard-drive with Windows, there's no need for NTFS anyway.
This is probably best left to third party developers.

Thanks Niels, this means printing to a PC via network, not directly to a printer connected to Amiga.
Well, while you may find issue of modern printer/scanner use a bit "not a priority" is surely
is one of the week knees. Inability to print or scan, severely limits computers use.
