Hi a Friend of mine gave me a Gift in Form of a Nvidia-QuattroFX 1400 PCI-Express SingelSlot.

Any Change to get it Running with LinuxPPC with Kernel 3.5.7 ?
Not for permanent only temp to make some Tests with Supertuxkart0.8

Or can I use its beside my RadeonHD5450 at the same time in my X1000.

RadeonHD with OS4.1.6 and Nvidia with LinuxPPC ?

Good Idea or Bad Idea ?

Compile a kernel with the nouveau KMS in, either as a module or built in. Pat supplied all the xorg.deivers as I recall. You may need to look up about 2 graphics card setups.

There are a couple of people here who can build you a kernel if it would help.

I'd put the card in slot 3 (see below)

I don't see why not, but may need a bit of setting up.

Distinctly possible! But I've no experience -you'd be mostly on your own.
Good Idea or Bad Idea ?
Worth a try I think...

Yes that's right. I have finished with building the new kernel. I have compiled the Nvidia driver and USB 3 driver into the kernel. You don't need a new kernel modules directory (/lib/modules/3.8.7X1000) :)

Download: vmlinux-3.8.7x1000-usb3-nouveau.tar.gz

Have a lot of fun with your new kernel.

Thanks Xeno74 !

USB3 works.
But with both Graphics Nvidia and Radeon The Monitor connect on DVI-1 on my Nvidia CFE come not up.
Also no DVI-Output (both DVI-1 and DVI-2) with Nvidea alone. Serial debug at starting and then hangs. I tried both DVI-1 and DVI-2 on the Nvidia.
Connect i the Monotor to back to Radeon -> CFE shows up but no 3D working under Linux. AmigaOS4.1.6 are running fine Ranger see the Nvidea ;)

Hm but it was a try. I stay with my RadeonHD 5450

But anyway USB3 works and this is more important as the old and louder Nvidea ;)
