Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas.
So installed and testing the RC4. Working well. Good job and nice backdrop.
I'm aware of a KVM issue but I haven't tested this. IIRC this needs qemu for starters. But I can't install qemu as my Fienix has no installable package for it.
My system has some ongoing issue with logs. Looks harmless but I keep seeing messages like this:
Code: Select all
[ 30.319140] systemd-journald[1325]: /var/log/journal/1a61c33c1bfd4a0682463eca1581b969/user-1000.journal: Montonic clock jumped backwards relative to last journal entry, rotating.

It's ok because I can test KVM HV for Paolo.

I use NTP for the clock but I will look in the journal too.

FYI: I tested the SB Live gameport today with the kernel module emu10k1_gp. But I have issues with this kernel module (kernel panics).

Also testing the 6.12.6 now. Working fine in use. According to dmesg mate-desktop went to town crashing over 15 times in a row at boot but it must have finished crashing by the time I got to it.

Still, I'm interested in the KVM HV stuff or any KVM stuff. Be good to get MoL working again one day unless it's not needed anymore.

I have it set to use NTP but it's not installed. For some reason I find it's common on live distros not to have it installed. I think it should be standard. I'm always booting up a laptop and getting beeped at because the battery is dead. For some reason I have friends that never replace the battery in their laptops or they don't why the BIOS beeps at them about the clock.
Anyway I have time sync enabled but I can't install ntp. I'm beginning to think I need to wipe my Fienix again. But if the server is still broken upstream it's not going to fix anything.

I reported the issue with the Sound BLASTER gameport to the kernel developers yesterday.
