When you iconify NotePad, the title under the iconified icon is "System:Untitled" instead of NotePad. When that gets fixed it might be a good idea to number the instances of NotePad (i.e. NotePad.1, NotePad.2 etc.).

EDIT: Disregard this post. I was iconifying it without any file loaded. Duh.

Another crash on MassStorage, don't know exactly how to reproduce it .. it happen almost twice while i was copying some files from HD to my USB pen

The sluggishness may not be your imagination. Check out my "Slow compiling with OS4.1FE " topic. Odyssey does a lot of file access, loading and saving and may be suffering from the same slowdown as my compiling.

Yeah might be, altrough after i read your topic i wonder how it's possible to have all that difference during compiling ..
I also did some compiles (just little projects of course) since my FE installation, but to be honest i didn't note a huge difference, the difference you post are very big ... but for the rest of the "usage" the difference i'm see is very perceptible even when i just moving a window around the desktop .. i'm very tempted to switch back to the good old Update 6, altrough i also like to help testing .. :roll:

The compile seemed to take longer but human time perception varies. I really noticed it during a "make clean" operation for Dopus5. Previously, the clean was quick and output text scrolled by faster than I could read it. When I switched to FE the clean operation seemed like slow-motion and the text output was easily readable. You may not notice the difference if you are compiling a single-file program or a program with just a few files. The big time difference shows up dramatically when the sources consist of dozens (or more) large source files. You can D/L the timer command from OS4Depot and check your compile speeds with a command like "timer make".

and with a bigger program => +33%.

A curiosity can you check what version of Picasso96API.library have you installed ?
I just discover a very strange thing on my Sam440 (AmigaOS 4.1 Final Editon installation)

As far as i understand latest version of this library should be the 54.9 in FE, so why my OS4.1 FE contain an old Picasso96 library of 2009 ?? :geek:

Are you sure you installed on a blank partition?
