So have tested 6.10 final as well as 6.11 alpha 1 and alpha2. 6.10 final works well. 6.11 alpha1 worked well. 6.11 alpha2 works but seems sluggish with one CPU core running at least 60% on desktop. Memory under 1GB. Somehow I have no swap though thought I had setup a swap partition.

….
Mmmmmhhh 60% on one CPU core … We have to keep an eye on that. Thank you for testing.

Hi All,

Here is the alpha3 of kernel 6.11 for the X1000 and X5000.

Download and further information: github.com

Alternative download link: linux-image-6.11-alpha3-X1000_X5000.tar.gz

Please test the kernels.

Thanks,

I tested the alpha3 of kernel 6.11 in a virtual e5500 QEMU machine yesterday:

Please test the alpha3.

It appears to be doing some load balancing by switching cores about every ten seconds. Except for the monitor nothing else showed a high load.

I also tested alpha3 on my X1000. But I couldn't get to boot. Kernel prints to OF then stops. Will test with debug option. May need to serial debug this one.

Strange, that it doesn't boot because it boots on Musa's X1000.

Thank you for testing.
