Hi All,

Linus Torvalds has released the RC1 of kernel 6.10 for testing.

I compiled it for the X1000 and X5000 today.

Download and further information: github.com

Please test your USB devices because of the USB / Thunderbolt updates.

Xorg doesn't start anymore with the RC1 of kernel 6.10 in a virtual QEMU ppce500 machine.

Its more than just Xorg i think..

It does not seem to boot at all...

I think, it is: + CONFIG_ARCH_HAS_KERNEL_FPU_SUPPORT=y.

I have reported it to the kernel developers: Xorg doesn't start and some other issues with the RC1 of kernel 6.10

I dont think its Xorg related.... since it does not even start loading the kernel ..

I tested the RC1 in a virtual e5500 QEMU PowerPC machine with Bochs VGA (-device VGA,vgamem_mb=256) and Xorg doesn't start either.

Error message: xf86OpenConsole: KDSETMODE KD_GRAPHICS failed Inappropriate ioctl for device.
