Hi Hypex,

Many thanks for posting the dmesgs on the linuxppc-dev mailing list.

Could you also please test the RC7 of kernel 6.10?

Thanks,
Christian

Okay just posted updated info to list and will set about testing the RC7...

Success! Kernel works. Be glad to shuffle off that RC6 as all the different patches were getting confusing. :-)

Great! Thanks a lot for testing! :-)

Could you please post the dmesg of vmlinux-6.10-17 for Michael on the linuxppc-dev mailing list?

Many thanks for your help.

I thought I had. I typed up a reply before. Will check where it's gone to.

My fault. I thought I had checked it but still missed it. So I've made two mistakes, first I replied from the wrong email. Then I emailed the author direct.

It's an ongoing issue I have in Thunderbird. I can't see any obvious way to set a default email and if I have it keeps reverting it. Second is I always have trouble on mailing lists. It just isn't setup for it. I've had this issue on the OS4 beta list for years. No matter what I do it just doesn't know how to handle online lists. It doesn't matter to me if the lists aren't set up correctly or Thunder is at fault, I just want to press one Reply button, and have it sort it out. :-?

Hypex,

Now, I see your email on the list.

I asked the kernel developers about adding the second irq patch to the mainline kernel.

In my point of view is the second irq patch a good solution. I hope the kernel developers will add this patch to the mainline kernel.

Thanks,
Christian

Yes, sent it to Linus yesterday.

Looks good! I hope Linus doesn't mind a PowerPC patch. And your link on the "rogue forum" is accepted. :-D

Also watched some videos of Linus recently so was good to see that.

I see I managed to get that post through, but messed up the subject, as there is a rogue "FWD" in it. Accidentally creating a false thread. Then the text bunched up and the attachments are all missing file-names and also squished into a wall of text. Perhaps I'm just used to forums now. :?:

Great news! :-)

The second irq patch was added for the X1000 to the official kernel source code yesterday.
