New kernels
Re: New kernels
Okay great! Test confirmed. Works well even without modules.xeno74 wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 4:41 pm It boots with successfully identify the ata devices.

Will Github be a standard location from now on? It just Github always requires the latest browser just to work. ArticFox is just too old now so I need to use PC to download updates. I expected this from OS4. But I thought Linux was better.

Also, I don't know if my X1000 is just too old, but why is Fienix so laggy? Xenial works fine mostly until I load a browser. But for some reason Fienix is so laggy on my system and I don't know what's causing it.

Re: New kernels
Fantastic! Thanks a lot for testing!

You can download all kernels from Xenosoft as well. Link: linux-image-6.10-rc5-2-X1000.tar.gzHypex wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 6:57 pm Will Github be a standard location from now on? Re: New kernels
I successfully tested the kernel 6.10 RC5-2 on my X1000 today.

Edit: I will report the issue to the kernel developers as soon as possible.

Re: New kernels
Thanks. Will they be added in officially to the site? Kernels from 6.9 up don't have their own folder on site like the older kernels.xeno74 wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 7:59 pm You can download all kernels from Xenosoft as well. Link: linux-image-6.10-rc5-2-X1000.tar.gz
Re: New kernels
No, github.com is the official download site now but I will upload them to xenosoft as well.Hypex wrote: Sun Jun 30, 2024 9:38 am Thanks. Will they be added in officially to the site? Kernels from 6.9 up don't have their own folder on site like the older kernels.
Re: New kernels
It would be fine but the Assets don't show up. I click the reveal and it just keeps spinning. Github tends to be the first to break on OS4 browsers. It's the first time since iBrowse 30 years ago almost I've seen a site without CSS. It has some CSS but it's too modern and the sites look plain like they did in a 90's Amiga. Didn't expect to see that from a CSS browser. I should however check for a more recent Artistic Fox. One was from a package so not the latest. Maybe a port of that 68k Fox proxy browser would help.xeno74 wrote: Sun Jun 30, 2024 9:55 am No, github.com is the official download site now but I will upload them to xenosoft as well.

I will post a link to Xenosoft for the next kernels as well.Hypex wrote: Sun Jun 30, 2024 3:10 pm It would be fine but the Assets don't show up. I click the reveal and it just keeps spinning. Github tends to be the first to break on OS4 browsers.
BTW, I have reported the issue to the kernel developers.
