I suppose I like to give them all a test, even though I have had missed a few.
- vmlinux-6.10-1: panic
- vmlinux-6.10-10: good
- vmlinux-6.10-11: good
- vmlinux-6.10-12: panic
- vmlinux-6.10-13: panic
Thank you very much for testing! Strange your test with vmlinux-6.10-10 is good and Musa reported a kernel panic.

Hi
vmlinux-6.10-10 get a kernel panic
Have a nice day
Maybe our bisect wasn't correct.
We have found the first bad commit and we have reverted it successfully. Unfortunately reverting of this commit doesn't solve the issue with detecting of SATA drives with the latest kernel 6.10-rc5.

Strange, the first bad commit has nothing to do with SATA drives.
Actually the
vmlinux-6.10-13 is the
6.10-rc5 without the first bad commit.
I have modified a little bit the kernel config. Could you please test the RC5 with the modifed kernel config? Download:

Hi
I have a change to what I wrote at 6.10-10.
Vmlinux-6.10-9 boot Fienix to lightdm.service error.
I can log in with the prompt (this should say I can't log in)
Pardon

Hi All,
Many thanks for your help.
I think we should change the X1000 Linux support to the extended LTS support.
This means to change to the LTS kernels.
The X1000 is very old (about 12 years) and doesn’t benefit so much from the new kernels.
I would like to change to the stable longterm 6.6 kernel.
Additionally I will release some stable longterm 5.10 kernels for the X1000.
What do you think?
Cheers,
Christian

Hi
I would probably think it was sad, because I probably wouldn't turn on my amigas (x1000 and Sam) very often when I don't have any linux work.
I never got my sam to work with linux, but my X1000 has been on a long exciting journey via your work with linux. I have Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu remix 17, Fienix, Debian 32, debian 64, Fedora, Void and Adelie installed on my Amigax1000, so I have been involved from the beginning where I compiled my own ubuntu kernel because I couldn't wait for others to do that.
But I can see what you mean and will accept your choice. I have great respect for your work and have enjoy our collaboration.
You have to do what you think is right
Regards, Peter

Hi Peter,
Maybe a hardware issue?
Please unplug the DVD/CD-ROM drive and test the RC5 again.
Code: Select all

Please replace the SATA cable connecting the hard disk/SSD (sdc) to the Nemo board. Please also check the power connectors.
Thanks,
Christian

Peter,
Thank you for testing.
The kernel doesn’t see sdc.
sda and sdb work.
Please replace the SATA cable to sdc. Please also check the power connectors.
Thanks,
Christian

hi
I have to buy a new sata cable, but in the meantime I want to make room on the sdb for a fienix test partition.
then I can see if the kernel boot on a hard drive other than sdc
You hear from me
