What can I be doing wrong? Everyday I download rc8 and install again, and System Monitor still says rc7! I've never had such a problem before in several years of testing kernels.
OK, now! The fourth time was the charm.

Final kernel 5.16 up and running on my AmigaOne X5000
Based on the latest U-Boot (2022) version it also pulls the ENV variables nicely!! Yeah!!

Final 5.16 installed on three versions of fienix, one ubuntu, and one void here, but only tested, with no problem, on original (broken) fienix and void. Possible improvement on void; I wasn't able to get wi-fi with the prefinal version.
