Hi All,
Kernel 4.0 RC5 is available for download and testing.
New:
lkml.org - Linus Torvalds
Download:
vmlinux-4.0-rc5-AMIGA_one_X1000.tar.bz2
I tested it with ubuntu MATE 15.04 and with Mac OS X 10.3.4 Panther in a virtual MoL/"PR" KVM machine today.
I also tested a UMTS mobile network connection with ubuntu MATE 15.04 today.
Have a lot of fun with testing!
Cheers,
Christian

Hi,
under Ubuntu 15.04, all works as usual (network, sound, 3D,etc.)
A question : I will soon receive a Radeon R7 250X, do you know if this card is compatible with your Kernel and/or Mesa implementation ?
edit : Second question :
Why do you rename the vmlinux-4.00 into vmlinux-4.0 ?
Thank you

The Radeon R7 250X (7770 <-> R7 250X Verde/TAHITI_uvd) works only with the kernel 4.0 currently. There was a bug in some earlier kernel versions:
Bug #1386973 - Ubuntu 14.10 soft lockup with ATI Radeon R7 250 X. It doesn't have 3D support on Linux PPC and it doesn't work with the Live Remix DVD. The best graphics card is the
Radeon HD 6870. It offers
2D and 3D support on Linux PPC and it works with AmigaOS 4.1 as well. Additionally the 6870 works well with some older Linux distributions like openSUSE 11.1 and Ubuntu 10.04.4.
Could you test your new Radeon R7 250X graphics card with ubuntu MATE 15.04 and the kernel 4.0 if you received it, please? I'm very curious to your test results. Thanks in advance.

4.00 was the wrong name for the kernel 4.0. I had to correct it.

Spectre660 reported that the HDMI output of the Radeon HD graphics cards doesn't work. He reported the HDMI problem to the kernel DRI list. But unfortunely the devolopers can't help us. They don't have any knowledge about Linux PPC. Spectre660 tried with bisect to figured out which commit is responsible for this problem but without any success.
zzd10h reported the same problem with his Radeon HD graphics card.

"zzd10h reported the same problem with his Radeon HD graphics card."
No, sorry, I didn't had this problem. I just said that I never tested HDMI but only DVI.
Sorry for the misunderstanding...
R7-250X tested, see here :
