Testing Radeon firmware in Sam460ex kernels.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/542 ... age-3.19.0
This 3.19.0 kernel has support for RadeonHD 5450,6450,6570,6670,7750 and 7770 .(Still no DRM)
Please test .
Use the modules from here http://www.xenosoft.de/Sam460ex-3.19.0.tar.gz if your are installing kernel 3.19.0 fro the first time

@Spectre660
Finally installed Xubuntu 15.04 from your ISO, it works just fine.
Had an error with your script at the end of the installation, so had to install manually the kernel and the menu.lst file.
Tried the kernel 3.19 and works, no DRM as usual.
Tried kernel 3.19 with firmware for 5450,6450,6570,6670,7750 and 7770 and on my HD 4650 does not work, no debug as have no serial cable, yet.

Re: Spectre660's Linux downloads for the Sam440/460
Thanks for testing.
Dont know why the script would fail.
They always work for me. (I installed 4 versions after I got my motherboard then deleted one and installed the Ubuntu 15.04)
Did you use the default 3 partition setup ? The script is hardwired for this so if not then it wont work.
Tried the 3.19 with firmware on a Radeon HD 4850 and it only had video output when Debian Wheezy finaly booted and not before.
The firmware version show Tux on bootup with my Radeon HD 6670
Tried to add the r 700 series firmware but the resulting kernal had the same result as the first firmware one with an error about not being able to load R700_rlc.bin
which I had added to the firmware list.
Did not try the card with any other linux version as it runs hot and I do not like to keep it in my machine very long.
I think that if too many of the radeon firware files are the kernel then it get too big and wont boot so this is the problem with trying to add everything

Almost forgot: no sound at all, neither with kernel 3.16.x, nor with 3.19.
The sound cards simply do not show up. Have an Envy 24HT.
Tried to force reload following your advice, but still sound cards do not appear to the system

Re: Spectre660's Linux downloads for the Sam440/460
The ENVY24HT driver sems to be very flaky. will work once in a while and then not.
I have given up on this and use the Radeon HD HDMI audio from the HD 6670 audio now.
In Lubuntu you have to remember to add youself to the audio group for any sound output to work.

Re: Spectre660's Linux downloads for the Sam440/460
Try this version with your Radeon HD4650 .
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/542 ... e3.19.0-8b
This should work with Radeon HD4650/HD4670,HD5450/HD6350,HD6450,HD6570/HD6670,HD7750/HD7770.
No more space due to max kernel size reached. Anyone needing other Graphics card options let me know and I will
try to do a special one for you by leaving out some the other the cards in this version .

This one works great!Spectre660 wrote:uImage3.19.0-8b

The RadeonHD 4650 driver is correctly turned on straight after loading the kernel.
Audio is also OK after adding my user to the "audio" group. Both the Envy 24HT and the HDMI audio are working, great!
