I have always used the canyonlands.dtb and modules that were created with that particular kernel to be safe.
I have three things to try now. First no patches and then each of the two combined patches applied without the other .

No luck here is kernel 3.17.0 dmseg output (black screen, but system seems to load alas no video output):

I have tried 3 different versions of kernel 3.17.0 that you released..unfortunately none of them is working..
No output from video after loading kernel from Uboot

I will hook up a pc to serial port to check if there is something on serial.

From what I have seen of previous post with serial output something is causing the kernel panic before the Radeon graphics card is
initialized. It could be caused by something unrelated to the graphics card though.
I will try one more kernel compile with a configuration based on a something that worked ok before my kernels.
