Using fienix the vlc media player wont play dvds or a gparted cd I got from Linux magazine.this is a brand new install from the aotl usb stick. Guessing something else needed to get it to play correctly any ideas thank you.also where is the repository for fienix

Please copy the files from the following package as root to the directory /usr/lib/powerpc-linux-gnu.

Playing a DVD on Fienix PowerPC:

Fienix internet worked after adding the 2 lines but today not working? Here are the pics from /s in/ifconfig -a and a ping.alsoa pic of the interfaces file. The interfaces.d has nothing in it.also thanks for the dvd info I was going to download but the Ethernet dropped out on me

Hi Tijatjj,

I tested my Fienix USB stick again today and my interfaces configuration works without any problems. Have you seen any error messages in the output of the command dmesg?

Here’s pics of what I get.i would not bother again except that it did work so something is wrong.just don’t know what it was running for at least an hour.did not drop off at all.if it’s the Ethernet pci card I’ll just get the one you’re using if that would simplify things.ok so someone gave me a temp solution but have to put in after reboot or disconnected, /sbin/dhclient -v -4 it is a manual input but works not permanent though.
