I have received Ubuntu LTS 12.04 with my X1000 and it seems it doesn`t have this kernel inserted.

How to insert it in already installed Linux?

Hi Vox,

the official A-EON Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Remix Live DVD isn't released yet. Please have patience. It'll released soon. :-) I'm looking forward to the release date. :-)

But you can boot your installation with the kernel 3.10.15-ubuntu. Copy the kernel to the CF card. And execute the following command from the CFE:

Code: Select all

CFE> boot -elf -noints -fatfs cf0:vmlinux-3.10.15-ubuntu

Christian

Pssst ... I have got it installed Ubuntu with a bit AmigaOne customization -don‚t know is it REMIX or just plain Ubuntu with X1000 kernel :-)
PDF documentation is unfinished and mentions webstore and paid release. Its great, but I am simply not an Unity fan.
(see other thread)

I have published tests under it
http://openbenchmarking.org/result/1310 ... MIGAONE027
and would like to add newer kernel, and redo tests and use it for business side of X1000.

On CFE under Linux I see older kernel it was installed with. Surely, I will replace it, great thing that 128MB memory card on-board!
