There does seem to be an issue with those emails, as mine didn't even reach my junk box.

As you have a Hotmail account, you need to add a-eon.com and a-eon.biz to your mailbox Safe Senders list or Microsoft will erase the email immediately.

I really hope that A-Eon can fix their email set-up, so that their emails don't look like spam to automated spam-detecting systems. It shouldn't be rocket science!

Thats a bit harsh.

I have loads of email from companies that go straight to spam. Do you suggest I go to paypal, ebay, virginmedia telling them to fix their emails cause they go straight to spam.
I have the same type of issue, with my own site, people using hotmail or gmail never get activation emails. Simple answer is, use another email.

For something like this, I would use my own personal email with my ISP, this way you dont get any hastle.

No, I would suggest that you get a better email provider (like Google), that has a decent anti-spam system. MY POINT was that many people even using Google have had A-Eon's emails spammed, which indicates that something is seriously wrong with A-Eon's emails. I even included a copy of the email header, which points where the problem may be.

Most likely your site's emails are not being generated correctly, causing them to be classed as spam. These days many email providers (such as Google) check the authenticity of the sender's email address (particularly it's domain name), and if people have not updated their email system to send properly authenticated emails then they will get classed as spam.

I had the same problem with personal emails sent from one of my own domains, until I fixed it. Basically, I was using my ISP's own SMTP server to send emails from my own domain, which immediately raises red flags with Google/etc. My slightly-cheating solution was to add my domain name to GMail (required verification), and then send emails using Google's SMTP servers. GMail took care of all the tricky stuff, so I didn't have to. (Although that was a while ago now, so I may not be remembering it quite right. And I've now dumped my domain name in favour of a plain Google Mail address.)

If you want to know more, then look up "SPF" aka Sender Policy Framework, which is Google's favoured solution. You don't actually need to know how it works, just what you need to add to your domain records so that emails sent using it are authenticated.
