In other news, I gave the alpha 5 and 6 a test, with all looking good.
Great! Thank you for testing!

It looked like some issue with shutdown, seeing some delay, but last night the alpha 6 manged it fine. Rebooting worked fine in my tests.
The RC1 will soon be upon us.
Yes, the RC1 is on the way.

Hi All,
The merge window is over. Linus Torvalds has released the
RC1 of kernel
6.19 for testing.
I compiled it for X1000 and e5500 machines (X5000/20, X5000/40, Mirari, and QEMU VMs) today.
Download and further information:
github.com
Please test the kernels.
Thanks,
Christian

Hi All,
Christophe Leroy has released a
patch because of the e5500 boot issue
#18. We no longer need the
revert patch.
This time, I compiled the
RC1 of kernel
6.19 with
Christophe's patch in a new Docker container, and my X5000 boots without any problems.
Download of the kernel package and a new Dockerfile for a PowerPC cross compiling environment:
github.com
Please test the kernels.
Thanks,
Christian

Merry Christmas.
So tested long-term 6.12.62 on Xenial, 6.19 RC1 on Mate and Debian, and now currently 6.19 RC2 on Debian. All looks good on all kernels. X1000 builds are working well.
