Hi Musa,

It seems, that Debian PPC64 has changed to version 2 of the application binary interface for the kernel and programs.
That means, we need an extra zImage and vmlinux with modules for Debian PPC64 in our packages. But … does Void PPC work with this ABIv2 kernel?

I don’t need a screenshot. Thanks a lot for testing.

Cheers,
Christian

Great! Maybe we can only compile ABIv2 kernels for the X1000 and we don’t need an extra zImage and vmlinux.

Could you please test the ABIv2 kernel with Adélie, Fienix, and the MATE PowerPC Remix?
If you have an older Ubuntu like 16.04, please also test the ABIv2 kernel with it.

Thank you very much for your help.

Musa,

Many thanks for testing. Could you also please test SeaLion and some other software with an ABIv2 kernel?

I think not because of pinning the old Mesa but I am not sure.

Thanks,
Christian
