Well I'd like to update to the most recent but I don't know why the dependencies are unmet. I'd really like to cleanly update to the latest packages. But I can see why people take the dirty approach and merge Debian packages in for a Frankenstein system when Fienix package base simply doesn't work.

I've been getting that as well. I thought my Fienix system had corrupted since, if you read the last page, you can see all the problems I had. And lately this one. But I installed a live image to run a fresh install and found this in the news section. The server does have issues:

Can this work for Fienix in the interim? In the meantime be good if direct IP could be used to work around DNS issue.

Just a small "update" on my adventures on trying to get a working Linux on my Mirari.

With 2nd to last kernel update I finally got it to install to an SATA SSD and booting that (with kernel and mirari.dtb still on the USB stick).
What I got was an attempt to force a DualLink-DVI signal onto my 2560x1440 screens connected via singleLink->DVI cable which means I missing every 2nd pixel. GFX is dog slow and when I tried to change resolution I found I can't. Only put it on 200x scaling worked.
This gave me a de facto 1280x720 screen that looked o.k. (for the apps that did apply the scaling). Tried running the updater/repository but it failed to find any hosts (while clearly being connected to the net).
Then I found that there a tool that among other things claims to install accelerated GFX drivers (with my X1950 being on the list) but that just hang for every trying finish the install. Just like the USB installer did when I tried with older kernel.
Then I thought, heh why not try to activate the NVMe, which was visible but not selectable in the installer. Nowhere to be found. Tried starting some partitioning SW, but all usual names ( (s)fdidk,(g)parted) came back "can't find command", heck even "su" and "sudo" gave me that cold shoulder...

So I guess that one is a bust.....
