Phantom wrote:Just found this thread. Unfortunately you have to add me also in this small list. There are times that my X1000 doesn't want to boot, so I force to press the power-button and try again. It doesn't happen multiple times per day, but it's very annoying.

I thought that the problem was with the printer conntected via the USB hub, but it appears that's not the problem. I don't know if it's the ethernet card that others said. It's the same ethernet card obviously AmigaKit shipped with all X1000s?
Do you use Linux?

Here the new list of user with boot problems:

Phantom, THW, 328gts, and xeno74.

No Linux, only AmigaOS.

OK, thank you. Have you got a CF card in your X1000?

If you mean the internal CF slot, no, just a card-reader connected.

Can you explain us how often the X1000 doesn't boot or boot without any problems?

It's completely random, I can't say. There are days that this can happen twice or not al all.

Did you have modified your X1000 e.g. new hd, new ram, more ram or something like this?

Do you have a debug serial cable for your X1000?

Hi guys,
Maybe the same problem, some times my x1000 don't boot too, no power, no light, nothing.

I have just to unplug the power wire, to wait few minutes (long and horribles moments) and it works again.

I notice that it happens when I unplug/replug my Radeon9250 PCI card. When I unplug the card, yet, I take care to unplug the power cord, to wait for residual electricity to go out...

But hopefully, I don't have this problem everytime.

Maybe a PSU problem ?

PS : I have a CF card for Linux kernel.
Can the serial debug useful if the x1000 have no power ?
