I do like TW (in fact, I am posting with it on the X1000 now), despite its early development status - I agree it can't be used as much as I would like (for all the reasons mentioned on the Brothers' project page). I do look forward to trying out updates, though.

There is now a beta of Timberwolf available from OS4depot, which I'm using at the moment - it's much better at handling sites and I find it can be used for almost everything I need on a day-to-day basis, so do give it a try.

I can confirm your findings SteveH, very usable indeed

The new TW is crashing all the time for me (more accurately: It stops responding to me, the CPU usage gets stick at 100%, and eventually the whole OS freezes), so unfortunately I don't find it usable at the moment. Also lacking certain functionality (which I am sure the devs are aware of).
But I was amazed that even the unoptimised (HTML5) YouTube playback seemed close to usable (sans sound), until it crashes anyway...

That is more or less exact what muiOWB does on my system: it freezes the lot randomly. Sometimes within 10 seconds after opening muiOWB, sometimes i takes tens of minutes before it comes to a halt. There is no specific website on which it dies, there is no debug-output other than
RadeonHD.card (4): Planar pointer
RadeonHD.card (4): Truecolour pointer
RadeonHD.card (4): pointer dimensions: 46, 46
