Please test DVD video playback with VLC. You need the libdvdcss libraries.

Download: vlc_addon_dvd.tar.gz

If you use an old version of VLC then please copy the libdvdcss libraries to /usr/lib/powerpc-linux-gnu. If you use the latest version 3.0.12 then please copy the libraries to the lib directory in the VLC folder.

Downloads of the latest VLC 3.0.12 version:

• For Fienix and MintPPC: vlc-3.0.12-non-altivec.tar.gz
• For Ubuntu 16.04: vlc-3.0.12-linux-powerpc-non-altivec_with_ffmpeg-4.3.1.tar.gz

I tested kernel 5.11_rc5 with Fienix. Boot is ok but could not load kernel modules.

Did you copy the kernel modules directory 5.11.0-rc5_A-EON_X1000_Nemo (Path: linux-image-5.11-rc5-X1000_X5000/X1000/kernel_modules/5.11.0-rc5_A-EON_X1000_Nemo) to the directory /lib/modules?

I have today booted from usbdisk mintppc32-x5000.img with kernel 5.11_r6
By empty the boot folder and inserting an xorg.conf file the
system booted without problems.
so the conclusion must be that Mintppc32 also is available for amigax1000.
