Personaly, I tested this kernel just because you asked.
I use v4 kernel on a 15.04 distrib therefore, for me, never mind.

If support of Southern Island video card is important, better to support them on 3D ;)

PS : Is not the A-EON Live Remix DVD obsolete too ?

Hi zzd10h,

Pat released the kernel 4.0.7 for the A-EON Live Remix DVD five days ago. It could be that you can boot the A-EON Live Remix DVD with your Radeon R7 250X. Please test the new kernel 4.0.7.

Download: linux-4.0.7-livedvd.tar.bz2

Thanks in advance. :-)

Cheers,

Christian

Hi Zzd10h,

No, it's not completely dead. I think the problem is the available time.

Alex had his wedding few weeks ago and he is on honeymoon currently. The other developer is moving to another city.

But we have another problem and we need your help.

Could you please test the kernel 4.7-rc5 with your R7 graphics card if you have a new one?

Download: vmlinux-4.7-rc5-AmigaONE_X1000.tar.gz

Thanks in advance,

Christian

Many thanks in advance. :-) I created the RC5-2 with Darren's latest patch today. Could you please test the RC5-2 as well?

I am looking forward to getting your test results. :-)

Thanks,

This is very useful information, pity I did not find it earlier!
Thx for sharing! :-)

Hi All,

If you use a Radeon SI graphics card then please try the following xorg.conf:

/etc/X11/xorg.conf:

Code: Select all

Section "Device"
    Option "UseFBDev" "true"
    Identifier "Card0"
EndSection
Cheers,
Christian
