I also removed my PCI soundcard some time ago.

Please install pavucontrol (PulseAudio Volume Control) with the following command:danbeaver wrote:No, I did my HDD install from the Remix DVD, rather than one of the other (difficult) methods. Oops! Yes there is a SoundBlaster left over from the OS4.1 pre-AudioHD days. It doesn't seem to interfere with the other kernels, though.xeno74 wrote:That's strange. I've tested the RC 2 with Ubuntu 10.04.4, Lubuntu 12.04.4, and with Lubuntu 14.04 and the sound works very well. But I'm very curious why it doesn't work for you. Is another sound card installed in your A1-X1000?
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install pavucontrol
Could someone test it, please?Spectre660 wrote:Thanks you.
It also seems the there is no need to use "radeon.dpm=0" in the bootargs for kernel 3.13.1 onwards .
That's fantastic.zappa2009 wrote:I boot the Kernel3.14-rc2 without Radeon.dpm=0 and it works
Trevor, could you test it too, please?zappa2009 wrote:I boot the Kernel3.14-rc2 without Radeon.dpm=0 and it works
Have you tested with the RadeonHD5450?zappa2009 wrote:I boot the Kernel3.14-rc2 without Radeon.dpm=0 and it works
Tested your new kernel 13.3.2 without Radeon.dpm=0 command and it appears to work well with RadeonHD 6870 installed.xeno74 wrote:Trevor, could you test it too, please?zappa2009 wrote:I boot the Kernel3.14-rc2 without Radeon.dpm=0 and it works
