Thank for your tests Abalaban,

For me,
in RAM: big or lot of files work,
in JXFS partition, only big files are working
In SFS2:, neither big nor small files work, it stalled at around 700-800 mb of download.
When the x1000 stalled, network activity is 0 (seen with SysMon), i can move windows but no actions are possible.

Hoping that the small files works for you.

Inadvertently I have copied a huge directory from my NAS to my x1000 and now it works !!!

I remade the tests who were failing before and all works.

Since the beginning of this post, I change
-AOS 4.1.5 to 4.1.6
-Radeon HD5570 to HD6670
-Sound card CMI8738 to SB Live 5.1 SB0220 (really better)

I don't know which element made smbfs failed for me,
but now, I'm happy to be able to use again confidently smbfs :)
