I will do that, thank you very much

I got a working Sapphire HD 4850 out from a broken PC and it works like a charm in my test monkey here, so i thought i will keep that baby for when (if) my Second Batch X1000 arrive...yes, i know, there hasn't been official pre-ordering yet, i'm just hoping to be on the list :-)

...hear that, AmigaKit?
Just write me a mail and i send you the money :-D

@xenic

Thanks for letting me hijack your thread :-)
I'm using a Sappire 4850 in my X1000, using dvi output, no problems.

As soundcards, you can use some Soundblaster Live! 5.1, some M-AUDIO cards and the ESI Juli@ for exemple.

Silicon Image SATA and PATA PCI adapters, Radeon 9250, Realtek 8169, TV Card based on Conexant Cx2388 are 3.3 compatible. I'm sure other usefull and OS4 compatible cards exists.

Which sound card are you using?
Hope that this imbarassing limitation of SAM boards (e.g. there are Radeon 9000 256MB cards, but they are 5V)
will be overcome by their next board design. Its both annoying, dangerous and limiting.

Currently, both SAM 460 and X1000 have PCI-E x1 slot that could also fit nicely for sound card.
We just need drivers for newer sound and SATA cards (why not even a TV tuner) and I hope it will come to agenda one day.

Meanwhile, http://www.amigans.net/modules/xforum/v ... 30&forum=4 soon we will know does
this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6829186003 VIA Envy card works with SAM 460 and OS 4.1

Interesting situation, we are PCI and PCI-Express now but with very few drivers :-) Modern days
