LibZ.so 1.2.5 missed

Post by samo79 »

It seems that recent updates needs this .so library for the main installer

http://os4depot.net/index.php?function= ... c/libz.lha

Maybe it would be a good idea to include it by default for the future OS4's updates although at the end I think it could be better to avoid the use of these type of .so libraries for the vital components of our the operating system ;)

I have libz.so.1.2.5 in my system. Admittedly the link from libz.so is to libz.so.1.2.3, but 1.2.5 is there.

Since I haven't downloaded it from anywhere, it must have been part of Update 4 or earlier.

Can you check and make sure that it isn't there already?
cheers

Cant spot it in any update from update 1-4.

It also is not on my Emergency "Clean Boot" partition which was created from update 1 and adding each new update up to update4 without adding any 3rd party files.

Yes, that's the only place it could have come from. I don't let any external apps make any changes to my system disk.

Please note that only developers will install SDK, normal users will not so is better to include this library on default SOBjs folder
