Hi!
I noticed that the eth connection wasnt so stable here...
Not so bad but sometime when I uploading/downloading files over my home net between my wife PC(on PC I use Xlight ftp server and on AmigaOS4.1u3 pFTP), the connections stops of working and I've to soft reboot...
Any other guy with same problem?
Thank you.
Ethernet not so stable?
Re: Ethernet not so stable?
Never had such problem with network which would require a reboot.
Can you give details? OS version, ethernet card... Is there a reproductible pattern or is it random? Anything which you would find useful to reproduce the bug.

Re: Ethernet not so stable?
Instead of a shutdown can you restart the internet using:-
NetShutdown
AddNetInterface DEVS:NetInterfaces/~(#?.info)
Also, can you ping your router?

Near at hand is your forgetting all; near, too, all forgetting you.
Re: Ethernet not so stable?
I get that problem when I try to upload/download big files throught my home net...
I gonfigured my wife's PC as an FTP server nad use pFTP on AmigAOS4.1.3(but was the same with previous OS version) to do the file transfers.
The upload will be interrupetd and the Net was broken...
I cant do NEtShutdown because the sehll will hang...
If I soft reboot the net wont restart and If I then try to:
NetShutDown
I get that DSI:
And if I try to Ignore I get that ISI:
Crash log for task "TCP/IP Control"
Any other test to do?

I think he is using a Pegasos not an Amigaone SE, or did you mean an other SE??ssolie wrote:Are you using an SE model perhaps?Tuxedo wrote:I noticed that the eth connection wasnt so stable here...
Re: Ethernet not so stable?
I use a Pegasos2 since I'm posting in he PEgasos2 area...
However on my old A1SE the network was much stable then now...
Maybe some weird eth cofiguration? Or some weird incompatibility with my router/Pegasos2 eth?
Any test that I can do?

anyone can tell me a RoadShow config to test plz?
Re: Ethernet not so stable?
I've seem to have problem with this too, havent noticed it before but a few days ago i started to download mp3 album torrents to my Peg2 (with transmission iirc) and the connection died pretty often when downloading with quite high speed. restarting roadshow or softrebooting solved the problem every time.
I haven't used torrents on my Amiga before but i know i have never had problems with transfernig files over ftp, i have no FTP servers running on my LAN anymore ATM so i didn't test to see if i could reproduce this with ftp.
