Problem 9000 pro A1 G3 XE

Post by Ghillo »

Hi, ve got a problem with my AmigaOne XE. I bought a Megabyte Radeon 9000 Pro 128 Mb on eBay.
I ve tried installing it in the AGP slot, but when I start up the computer, it either doesnt recognise the SATA hard drive connected to a Sil3112, or it freezes whilst loading Kickstart.
I ve tried booting AmigaOS 4.1FE from the installation CD connected to the A1 ATA100, and everything works the graphics card is recognised and the SATA hard drive is detected with all its partitions.
I ve tried moving the SATA controller to the last PCI slot, but the problem persists; I ve also tried replacing the Radeon and PCIGraphics kernel modules with those from the CD (I ve installed all updates up to version 3 on my system).
Could it be a conflict between the 3112 and the 9000 Pro?
With my current configuration, I have no problems:
A1 G3 XE, 1 GB RAM, PCI USB 2.0, PCI SATA 3112, AGP 9250 128 MB 64-bit, CD ATA master 1, DVD ATA master 2.

IIRC, (Which is a long time ago now), the 9000 support wan't the most comprehensive. It may be a driver issue, so perhaps try a different card just to be sure...
