I've been having trouble booting Linux for the last week. Last I checked i had installed the RC3. But my system is playing up. I managed to boot MATE but it looked like it had SATA troubles again. Upon booting the desktop looked fine until there were crash reports. For some reason mysql keeps crashing as found in dmesg. I also see messages about fstype and an executable stack.

I may need to pull out and jiggle my cables again. Last night I did a SMART test and my SSD reported fine. I often wonder if Linux has more stringent checks because i don't see any trouble running OS4 which shows no issues.

I booted Xenial and it worked fine. Installed recent long term kernel for testing. I should test RC3 with newer distro.

So testing the 5.10.261 kernel in Xenial. Working fine in use and classic Firefox here. But, I did see some SATA errors on boot. These are the same ones I'm seeing lately, except it still manages to boot. What's funny now, though, is the sound works! As you can also see in the log.
