Great! Thank you for testing! :-)
Hypex wrote: Sat Dec 13, 2025 4:20 pm It looked like some issue with shutdown, seeing some delay, but last night the alpha 6 manged it fine. Rebooting worked fine in my tests.

The RC1 will soon be upon us. :-)
Yes, the RC1 is on the way.

Hi All,

The merge window is over. Linus Torvalds has released the RC1 of kernel 6.19 for testing.

I compiled it for X1000 and e5500 machines (X5000/20, X5000/40, Mirari, and QEMU VMs) today.

Download and further information: github.com

Please test the kernels.

So tested the RC1 on MATE and Debian this time. See no issues. Kernel working at normal capacity.

Hi All,

Christophe Leroy has released a patch because of the e5500 boot issue #18. We no longer need the revert patch. :-)

This time, I compiled the RC1 of kernel 6.19 with Christophe's patch in a new Docker container, and my X5000 boots without any problems.

Download of the kernel package and a new Dockerfile for a PowerPC cross compiling environment: github.com

Please test the kernels.

Merry Christmas.

So tested long-term 6.12.62 on Xenial, 6.19 RC1 on Mate and Debian, and now currently 6.19 RC2 on Debian. All looks good on all kernels. X1000 builds are working well.
