Re: New kernels
FYI: KVM-PR doesn't work anymore since the RC4 of kernel 6.17.xeno74 wrote: Mon Sep 01, 2025 12:44 pm Hi All,

Edit: I changed the compiling environment from SUSE to Ubuntu and KVM-PR works again.

Re: New kernels
Hi All,
The merge window for the kernel 6.18 has been started and here is the first alpha with the first PowerPC updates for testing.
Download and further information: github.com

For X1000 users: KVM-PR does not work when I compile the kernel with SUSE. If you need KVM-PR, use the KVM-PR kernel package for the X1000 that I built with Ubuntu.
Please test the kernels.
Thanks,

Re: New kernels
Testing and working well so far on MATE. I did notice these errors in the journal. Seem harmless enough.xeno74 wrote: Mon Sep 29, 2025 3:56 pm Hi All,

Oh dear. Well I haven't been using it lately. Should do some testing with it.For X1000 users: KVM-PR does not work when I compile the kernel with SUSE. If you need KVM-PR, use the KVM-PR kernel package for the X1000 that I built with Ubuntu.
I'll get onto the latest alpha next.
