X5000 uboot

Post by Tijatjj »

Hi as in description above where to get a new x5000 uboot file. Thanks getting odd behavior. Did reinstall , then does not allow the extras to be installed. Using disc from cd lets u pick all of them but does not allow to pick where.after reinstall click extra install cdr spins then stops? New cdr disk . Never had this type of behavior before. Could be the ssd is bad?

Hi.
I dunno where to get a new uboot, i guess you can ask your dealer about it.

But i doubt it very much it will help with your problem.

I would put the install cd on a usb stick instead of using cdr to begin with as it's much faster way and then try again.
Just use some tool that can write the iso to your usb-stick and boot with that, on os4 we have tools like rawwrite https://os4depot.net/?function=showfile ... wwrite.lha
There's lots of other tools for all kind of operating systems, DD might be the most famous one but there's also more user friendly tools for windows etc.

Ok thank you. It’s working. Now I’m trying to make a backup on a Kingston 120 ssd using the cd which is now working.can pick as an option ( other disconnected) then format and all . Reboot says no bootable disk? The thing I’m not sure of is the boot loader . Really the only choice seems to be the NG00 one , is that correct. Seems to be no obvious reason why it doesn’t boot as it installs and then remove disk to reboot. I get that no bootable disk found , thanks
