Through the wrong values, I can't use "-smp 4" with a virtual e5500 QEMU machine with KVM HV anymore. Further information: [FSL P50x0] KVM HV doesn't work anymore
"-smp 3" works with KVM HV.

Please note: The issue with the wrong lscpu values still exists. We have figured out that only P5040 SoCs are affected. I reported the new findings to the kernel developers today.

BTW, Debian 11 "Bullseye" has been released. It is also available as an unofficial port for PowerPC (32-bit and 64-bit).

Just tested RC3 through to RC6 on my Fienix. All booted and worked fine.

The testing kernels also revealed a glitch in my boot manager. Because the testing kernels share the same name with the full kernels the kernels need to be overwritten. But the modules are different. Because of this a testing kernel really needs to be purged before hand or the modules will be left behind. And need to be removed by hand. I'll fix this in another update.

However, it does allow me to quickly install a kernel for testing, if I do them all in a row. I just need to set the default kernel to the same one installed. Install an archive over the top and replace it. Then exit, reboot and load Linux again. Like I did here on Fienix so this glitch is convenient for now.
