Hi Michael,

Please format the FIENIX-BOOT partition with FAT16 and copy the initial ramdisk and the kernels to this partition. I think we should use FAT16 for the FIENIX-BOOT partition in the future.

Code: Select all

./arcticfox
Thanks. But it doesn't work for me. I CD'ed into the folder from a terminal. But it gave me back a command not found type of error. I used ls to check and tab completion so it certainly looked like it was there. I also tried running from desktop as admin but it did nothing. :-?

This is some shell output:

Code: Select all

ienix@Fienix:~$ cd '/home/fienix/Desktop/arcticfox'
fienix@Fienix:~/Desktop/arcticfox$ ./arcticfox
bash: ./arcticfox: No such file or directory
fienix@Fienix:~/Desktop/arcticfox$ ls -l
total 112984
-rw-r--r-- 1 fienix fienix 447 Mar 13 19:37 application.ini
-rwxrwxrwx 1 fienix fienix 153232 Mar 13 21:13 arcticfox
-rwxr-xr-x 1 fienix fienix 153232 Mar 13 21:13 arcticfox-bin
The package was:

I can start Arctic Fox 27.10.1 with:
See you have a different one. The other must be incompatible with Fienix or had some bug. This one works thanks.

One thing I have noticed, and the same happened in InterWeb, is that I am getting blank text in input boxes. Though I was going crazy when the keyboard was acting dead. But the text was white on white. They may work as a Dulux colour but it doesn't work on a computer screen! It happens with a Google search box but the built in search box is okay. Wonder if it's related to video card not being fully supported.

You tried Arctic Fox for 64-bit userlands (PPC64). Fienix has a 32-bit userland.

I got the link here somewhere. It looked like the latest. Think we need an A1XDepot. :-)

But I wonder, if the kernel is 64-bit, why Fienix running in 32-bit?
