Finally got my internet back (still flakey though) and got a chance to test RC3. Success on all fronts, boots to Firepro and Logitech mouse works again. Thanks to you and all who so have helped sort the issue.

Hi Ace,

Many thanks for testing the RC3! :-) Have you also tested the RC3-2 yet? It includes Hans' patch for solving the issue with your Logitech mouse.

Actually it was that version I tested. Mouse works fine now. Many thanks to all involved.

Here is the RC4 of kernel 5.2 for testing.

New:
It also includes:
  • X1000: pcmcia-v2 patch for solving the issues with new CF cards connected to the onboard CompactFlash Card Slot
  • X5000 and X1000: vgaarb patch for solving the issue with two graphics cards in an AmigaOne. Link to the bug report: Bug 109345 - drm-next-2018-12-14 -Linux PPC
  • X5000 and X1000: 0001-HID-logitech-dj-Fix-064d-c52f-receiver-support patch (Thanks to Hans de Goede). Bug report: Bug 203619 - Logitech Wireless USB Mouse Not Working PPC
  • X1000: Enabled the kernel config options CONFIG_PATA_PCMCIA, CONFIG_PCMCIA, and CONFIG_ELECTRA_CF for the pcmcia-v2 patch
  • X1000: compressed kernel (zImage) and uncompressed kernel (vmlinux)
