It looks that you try all powerpc distributions.
What distro can you recommend for everyday use in 2019 ? I am using still Debian 8 with lxde, it works for me better then Ubuntu16 with mate.
I also try Debian Sid but I don't suceed install it from stratch.

I can recommend Fienix. I use it every day. You get very often new tested updates.
