However, we will likely post a work-around for you on these forums. eg. a new BootFloppy so you can install Ok on your A3000. So check back here soon. Sorry, if I had known about this sooner it would have been fixed sooner. If you reported this earlier and it didn't get back to me I apologize for that.
hmmm thanks! A special Bootfloppy could do the trick :-) I am wondering about you didn´t know about that issue  It was discussed many, many times in other forums! Of course, you can not be everywhere..... but this is not new..... :D

This BUG was reported in this Forum on 14. July 2012 in an OWN Thread! http://forum.hyperion-entertainment.biz ... =15&t=1179 SSolie sad it was fixed in a view hours.... seems not

I don't know why but for whatever reason the info didn't get back to our tester/developer who makes the Classic ISOs. Anyway, I have spoken with him and he will make a new BootFloppy. When it is tested and ready it will be posted on these forums likely.

Again sorry about that.

Sorry not yet. I don't have either one of those games so I have to find them install them and try them....if you are able to help me with that it would speed things up.

Darren, it is not your fault..... what I am just wondering about is, do you not have any Betatesters with an A3000 ??? Do you need one ? Again, I have no Problem with this issue, because it can be easyly fixt by using a harddrive Paritition or, if available, a USB-Stick with a DENEB.....if you know that:-)

Just a Question for my Interesst! Will the updates included in OS4.1 Final also be available as an update for all former buyers of OS 4.1 classic via Amiupdate? Or are these updates reserved for the buyers of the final version? Thanks

We actually don't have any A3000 beta testers. You could e-mail Hyperion to suggest becoming a beta tester.

As far as I know (and don't quote me on this) but there will be no new updates to AmigaOS 4.1 Update 6 unless they are important bug fixes.

All the post-update 6 updates and other enhancements (some classic enhancements that have not been made public yet, for example) will be only available to Final Edition users. We did spend quite a bit of time on the Classic version of Final Edition. It has it's own ISO build and other new features. While we didn't get every feature we wanted, there are some new things in there that may benefit some users. It is by no means a perfect product but it is an improvement over the 4.1 release for sure. Worth 30 euros I think. Further enhancements may come depending on sales.

I don´t think, that there is a need for a new Betatester for an END-OF-LIFE Product..... there will be of course for an upcomming 4.2 if this is available for classic.
But as you know. Ask for an Information and get nothing..... only silence....

I think there hasn't been any decision made yet, perhaps that is why the silence.

I would gladly help but they are both commercial product, Quake1 from ClickBoom and Quake2 from Hyperion ! I could send you the archives but that would not be really honest (towards Hyperion at least, and yes, I bought both of them) !

There are free versions as well compiled from the GPLed source codes:
http://os4depot.net/index.php?function= ... lquake.lha
http://os4depot.net/index.php?function= ... /quake.lha
http://os4depot.net/index.php?function= ... quake2.lha
http://os4depot.net/index.php?function= ... quake3.lha

Note that you still need the game data files in order to play them.
