Hello,
I have a multi-boot on my X5000, Morphos and Fienix (first release).
I have tried to share files beetween the two system but it seems to be not possible.
I have tried to create a directory on fienix share with samba with no restricted access it is not possible to write something under morphos. reading files works well.
I have tried to mount morphos drive on Linux with mout -t affs ... . but affs seems to be be unknown.
For me we can mont all the filesystem of the world under linux no ?
Any idea ?
except USB key
Thanks
Sharing with Morphos
Re: Sharing with Morphos
If you need sharing in one computer between different OSes, try make one small partition readable and writable under all OSes. FAT, ext 2/3 or NTFS.
I used it in the past.
But shared folder ( SMB or FTP ) on dedicated server is better solution.
mount -t affs is obsolete, and was created for FFS, not for MorphOS SFS.

Re: Sharing with Morphos
Also, making a Samba share on the same computer is useless, because it requires a running Samba server, and when your client (MorphOs) is running (booted), the server (Linux) cannot be booted at the same time. You have probably only been able to read it because the file system it used happened to be readable under MorphOs directly.

Take a look https://web.archive.org/web/20120425153 ... s/asfs.txt
or simply use FAT for exchange.
