I successfully compiled it today.

Download: dhewm3-1.5.1-linux-powerpc.tar.gz.

It works on Fienix and MintPPC.

For Fienix: You need the package ibjpeg9_9d-1_powerpc.deb. Please install it with dpkg -i before you start dhewm3.

Hi All,

I also tested dhewm3 with ultra quality settings on my Raspberry Pi 400 with an overclocked quad core CPU (4x 2.2GHz) and an overclocked VideoCore VI GPU and it isn’t as fast as on my AmigaOne X1000 and AmigaOne X5000.

Cheers,
Christian

Thanks, got it installed, seems to run fine but will play with it a bit more. Much appreciated as usual!

Hi All,

I compiled it for the old Ubuntu 16.04 today.

Download: dhewm3-1.5.1-ubuntu16.04-powerpc.tar.gz

I had to compile a new version of openal-soft as well because it doesn't compile with the default installed openal devel files.

Very awesome, Doom3 was one of my favorite games! I'm able to play with good performance on Ultra settings and 1280x720 resolution.

The new version is better than the old original one from the past. It has many bugfixes, supports EAX-like sound effects, and has much better support for widescreen resolutions.
We have better graphics cards today and can play it with ultra settings.
What do you think about to add it to Fienix?

Yep, I'll add it and the other required package today.
